The Allen-Bradley 1746-OB8 is a DC output module that has 8 outputs but no inputs. It has a voltage category of 24V DC in signal output and its number of points per common is 8. It has a total heat dissipation of 6.9 W and a maximum signal delay of 1A and 8A at 30°C and 0.5A and 4A at 60°C, respectively. Moreover, the maximum off-state leakage of this module is 1mA and the maximum thermal dissipation is 6.9 W. The 1746-OB8 has a maximum On-state voltage drop of 1.2V at 1A and 3A for 10ms maximum surge current per point. It has a backplane current consumption of 135mA at 5V DC and 0 mA at 24V DC. It has minimum load current of 1 mA. Please watch out for transient pulses which can occur when the external DC supply voltage is applied to the output common terminals. Please refer to the user manual for more information about transient pulses. The 1746-OB8 has a design that complies with international standards. It is UL-listed, CE compliant, and CSA and C-Tick certified. It has an operating humidity that ranges from 5 – 95% (non-condensing). When in use, you need to ensure that the temperature does not exceed 60°C or fall below 0°C. You need to store this module in an area that has a temperature range of -40-85°C. The electro-optical insulation between the I/O terminals and control logic device of this module is 1500 V. Therefore, it can be configured easily through your computer.
