Allen Bradley 1794-IF8IHNFXT FLEX XT 8 POINT ANALOG INPUT MODULE

The 1794-IF8IHNFXT module from Allen-Bradley/Rockwell Automation is a FLEX I/O HART analog module from a series of analog modules with isolated inputs and outputs. The 1794-IF8IHNFXT module is specifically an input module. The users can select between 7 different input data formats and 7 different input filters depending on their applications. This analog module comes with 1 HART modem for each channel and it is compatible with HART versions 5,6, and 7, but it cannot support a multi-drop HART network.

The Allen-Bradley 1794-IF8IHNFXT module, like every other Allen-Bradly FLEX I/O HART analog module, features multiple data ranges that the users can independently program, complete functionality without the use of jumpers and switches, detection for lead breakages, and alarms for remote transmitter, overrange, and underrange situations. The 1794-IF8IHNFXT module can communicate with Allen-Bradley programmable logic controllers (PLCs). For emergency situations, the 1794-IF8IHNFXT module can generate 4 different alarms that are a local fault alarm, a remote fault alarm, a high alarm, and a low alarm. The local fault alarm is for when the loop from the module to the transmitter or other field device is open or has shorted out. The remote fault alarm is for when the opposite loop from the transmitter to the module is lost or unable to be detected by the module. The high alarm sounds when the input signal level rises above the highest rated signal level, and the low alarm sounds when this signal falls below the lowest rated signal level.
